Our client is a highly progressive and successful FMCG Food and Drink manufacturer that require an FMCG Food Development Technologist to develop successful products from concept to launch. Their impressive meteoric rise to a turnover of £25m will soon be surpassed in achievement as they expect to double their turnover in the next 12 months. With a portfolio of 300 products and currently dealing with the full spectrum of retail accounts they have developed a reputation for producing an extensive and diverse of high quality products.
Your key focus will be working with the Senior Development Technologist to manage the NPD process for a range of specified retail and food service accounts, liaising with the Marketing, Technical, Production and Commercial teams to ensure the successful development of products and playing an active role in the development of the company's overall strategy.
As part of your role you will be required to portray a positive image of the company and it's values in a professional manner and work to customer briefs ensuring that all products meet commercial, technical and customer requirements whilst maintaining an awareness of new, innovative ingredients, raw materials, suppliers and relevant markets to ensure 'first to market' products. You will need to have a creative feel and seek out NPD opportunities and ideas that will enhance business performance and complement customer strategies.
You will need to have a background in food in an NPD environment ideally in dairy or ambient or have some knowledge of stabilisers.
