Materials Controller
Nottingham, Langley Mill
£ Attractive Package
Due to the expansion of the materials control department, our client - a leading manufacturer - requires an individual to help strengthen the existing team at the Langley Mill site.
Reporting to the Materials Team Leader you will be expected to:
- Process orders for materials for the Langley Mill Site, and where required process Group based orders
- Expedite orders and confirm delivery dates from suppliers
- Understand inventory stocking levels and control inventory inline with the businesses objectives and stocking policies
- Deal with quality issues which impact upon delivery of materials to Production (This will require liaison with Quality Control and Goods Inwards Inspection)
- Attend Meetings to inform departments of any materials issues which may impact upon end delivery dates to customers
You should be:
- PC literate, and have a good understanding of EXCEL and Word
- Be a strong team player, since this role will require close links with Stores personnel, Production, and the Front end Sales within the business
- You should have good inter personal skills and be effective in both telephone and direct communications, internally and externally
- Able to work to deadlines with minimum supervision whilst working on your own initiative
