Commercial Manager - Training Manager, Manager, Recruitment Manager, Account Manager, Customer Account Manager, Commodity Manager

c£37,000 subject to experience + benefits
Our client is one of the UK subsidiaries of a global leader in aluminium rolled products and extrusions, aluminium recycling and specification alloy production. They are looking for an experienced and skilled Commercial Manager to join their team. The role can be based from home or at one of their sites in Swansea or Birmingham. Travel is required within all sites in UK and Europe.
The role:
Reporting to the General Manager, tasked with delivering UK profit, you will:-
* Buy, and sell scrap aluminium and negotiate annual accounts with clients
* Provide customers with performance reports to meet delivery targets and SLAs
* Manage recycling of scrap/stocks and control inventory to minimize financial exposure
You must have a proven track record of successful commodity trading, within a fast changing market.
Previous metals trading experience is not essential.
A numerate self starter with excellent communication, negotiation, customer service and organizational skills, you must be a robust character able to meet tight deadlines and deliver profit.
A knowledge of hedging, oracle type admin systems and ability to speak German is desirable but training will be given.
