Our client, a leading supplier of mains, service fittings and valves into the international water and gas industries with an annual turnover of around £40 million, is currently looking to recruit a full time Process Excellent Black Belt.
The Company currently has three manufacturing sites, the largest of which is in Bridgend and employs 300 people. Key activities there are injection moulding, DMC moulding and assembly.
In order to further develop operational excellence initiatives within their business, they are appointing a full time Black Belt, based at their Bridgend site.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the candidate will lead high impact improvement projects in the company's manufacturing and supply chain functions using six sigma and lean methodologies. The successful applicant will also need to use tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Statistical Process Control, 5S, FMEA, Cause and Effect Analysis and Kanban.
It is likely that you will be of graduate calibre with extensive experience in the development of modern manufacturing methods. You will be a Six Sigma Black Belt and have excellent project management and communication skills. You will be familiar with all, or most, of the tools mentioned above and have the ability to coach and influence others.
