Our client manufactures and markets a range of turf maintenance equipment for the golf course, municipal and professional lawn care markets. They currently seek a Facilities Manager to join the team in Ipswich.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will ensure all site facilities and fabric are maintained in an economical manner and to the correct legal and required operating standards. You will also ensure all new facilities are installed in a timely and cost effective manner and are compliant with all legal and company standards.
Your responsibilities will be:
- To continually review the facility management processes to ensure the resources are effectively utilised and maintained.
- To ensure all the process plant (press, weld, machining, paint and assembly) is effectively maintained and any breakdowns are promptly corrected.
- To be a key member of the Operations Team, driving to improve manufacturing efficiency
- To undertake a key role in the implementation of the ISO 18001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- To continually improve the utilisation of all utilities, including gas, electricity and water.
- To ensure all department members are properly managed and trained.
- To maintain a detailed working knowledge of the statutory and company standards as they relate to the site and the facilities and to ensure the business is compliant with these standards.
- To manage an annual spend of approximately £1.3M.
Applicants will hold an Engineering/Facilities Management Degree or equivalent, as well as being a Professional Manager who is able to prioritise and focus resources to provide the level of service required to develop the business. You will be able to operate equally well at a strategic and day to day level, as a strong leader and team member.
