With a turnover in excess of £70 million, our client designs and manufactures instrumentation products for the process control industry, distributing to more than 50 countries globally.
They urgently require a contract Test & Development Engineer to undertake projects from beginning to completion.
The successful candidate will need to:
Have a minimum of 3 years proven experience within a Test Development/Support function.
Have good electronics design and test equipment experience.
Be educated to a HNC, HND or degree level in a computer science or electronics discipline
Be familiar with working within a manufacturing environment
Have a proven 'track record' of achieving desired results.
Considerable experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
Essential skills required
Considerable LabWindows/CVI experience (not LabView)
Further C & C++ programming skills
V-Basic and Pascal also an advantage
General analogue & digital electronics design knowledge
Experience with electronics test equipment; DMMs, PSUs, Sig-Gens, Switch modules, etc in GPIB and VXI formats.
