Our Client is an established Information Technology group specialising in delivering bespoke network services to large organisations and other service providers in the UK and abroad. They are looking to recruit an Order Implementation Manager to work from their Basingstoke offices.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Order Management, the Order Implementation Manager provides a key role in the implementation of our client's Customer Orders.
Beyond the initial fulfilment of an order, the Order Implementation Manager continues to play an important part in overall account management in conjunction with the Salesperson and Engineer assigned to a particular customer.
Responsibilities and duties
- Ensure all equipment and ancillary items are procured, received and tested prior to installation.
- Perform Pre and Post installation site visits.
- Brief installation team.
- Manage/co-ordinate all resources throughout order implementation (including Sub-contractors where appropriate).
- If necessary, with the Head of Order Management prepare contingency plans in order to meet order delivery timescales.
- Liaise with customer throughout implementation.
- Produce comprehensive documentation set, including schematics, on order completion.
- Involvement in on-going customer account management.
Additional Responsibilities and duties include
- Together with Pre-Sales provide technical assistance in system design.
- Together with the Head of Order Management Outline Project Plans and/or other documentation in support of a sales proposal.
- Assist in pre-sales presentations to prospective customers.
- Source/specify / price non-Price Book items as required.
- Recommend / liaise with Sub-contractors as appropriate.
Qualifications, skills and experience
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good organisational skills.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of SDH and Ethernet.
- Experience of producing Technical Work Instructions.
- Experience of an order management environment and high-volume, fast-turnaround implementation requirements.
- PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- An ability to assimilate new packages, eg. project planning, drawing etc.
- Good personal presentation.
- Clean driving licence.
- Ability to travel throughout the UK.
