Our client is different from any other machining/service group in the UK. For a start, they do not consider themselves to be in the manufacturing sector. They are a service company pure and simple. The company has evolved serving the needs of the North Sea Oil Industry, which means providing round the clock service seven days a week.
They currently seek to recruit a Horizontal Borer Operator/Programmer to join their team based in Portlethen/Aberdeen. Applicants must be willing to work day/nightshifts on a fortnightly rotation
You will be tasked with programming and operating a Giddings and Lewis Horizontal Boring machine with Giddings and Lewis 8000 CNC control. Due to the nature of the position, previous experience within a similar role is essential.
The successful applicant will benefit from a remuneration of between £13 and £15 per hour plus overtime rates time and a half, double time and time and a third for nightshift, alongside a company pension scheme.
