Their continued success has led to the requirement for a General Manager
If you are a graduate, have 5 years significant experience management experience, and live near or are willing to relocate to Lisburn in Ireland then this exciting opportunity in an world class organisation could be what you have been waiting for.
The major responsibilities of the position include:-
* To identify the market or markets allocated to the business in terms of size, consumer base, profitability and implement agreed plans in order to secure the agreed commercial objectives for the business.
* To formulate and gain acceptance for Annual Plans that incorporate underlying commercial objectives and plans, to lead to optimum profit performance by the business.
* To communicate the business objectives, plans, budgets and performance to all employees in the business, to maximise the individual and collective contributions and secure the commitment of employees to continuously improving the performance of the business.
* To manage the resources in the business so that they are employed as productively as possible by comparison to CDBS and external best practice models.
* To champion and ensure compliance with the Company Health & Safety Policy, in particular to set performance improvement objectives and developing programmes to support their achievement, in order to achieve a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
* To co-ordinate the formulation of capital expenditure proposals for the business in order to fulfil the agreed strategic plans.
* To recruit, motivate, train and develop a team of management and staff capable of delivering the business objectives. To continually review the business structure to ensure optimum configuration with the available resources.
The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre with appropriate professional and/or management training. They will possess a wide ranging knowledge of management tools and techniques with broad experience of negotiating at a senior level. No less than 5 years experience of managing significant groups of people, plant and/or commercial activities. The role requires strong communication, problem solving and leadership skills.
