Part of Tyco, Our Client designs and manufactures high integrity stainless steel products for the construction industry.
They are currently looking to recruit an innovative individual to join their team at Greenfield and the ideal candidate must be able to show they have the relevant skills, knowledge and experience for the role.
The Role:
Based at Greenfield, North Wales and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will provide a professional and efficient engineering service to the production cells in order for them to meet customer requirements and operational budgets/targets, ensuring that customer service is maximised and costs are minimised through a process of continuous improvement.
The main duties include:-
* Co-ordinate the service and repair of plant equipment and identify where improvements can be made.
* Monitor levels of machine and tooling consumables and spare parts ensuring orders are placed.
* Supervise tool room department to ensure every team member has key tasks consistent with site business objections.
* Ensure that Health & Safety legislation is adhered in all areas of their department.
* Produce monthly reports of all engineering activities and KPI's.
* Actively participate in 6 sigma / lean improvement projects.
It is essential the individual has the following skills, knowledge and experience:-
* Degree or HNC/D in Engineering.
* Minimum of 3 Yrs experience in a production/maintenance engineering role.
* Proven exposure to high volume manufacturing.
* Budget control.
* Computer literate (Microsoft word, excel, CAD).
* Good proven communication skills.
* Drive and enthusiasm to manage projects from initial conception, through to successful implementation.
* Problem solving techniques.
* Read engineering drawings.
* Clear understanding of H&S legislation.
* How to implement continual improvements.
* How to identify inefficient operations.
* Practical/hands on.
* Self motivated.
* Problem solving approach.
* Ability to work to tight dead-lines/targets
It is desirable that the individual has the following:-
* Six Sigma / Lean manufacturing trained.
* Experience of metal/Wire forming.
* Power Press Work.
* Experience of PLC's/Servo motors.
* Preventive maintenance systems.
* Open minded
