Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Support Engineer, Bedfordshire, Beds, London Home Counties North, LHCs, £Negotiable
Process Engineer based in Bedfordshire who will be responsible for the creation, definition and maintenance of manufacturing processes. When advised that new processes are required, you will determine the most appropriate method and equipment required for the process. Where additional equipment is required to support the process you will provide quotations and the justification for the purchase of the equipment. When a new process is implemented, you will be responsible for ensuring that the process is suitable, that equipment is identifiable, that supporting documentation (as required) is created and that operators are process trained. You will also maintain a record of all process equipment and its capabilities; for custom designed equipment you will maintain drawing information to permit replication if necessary. You will also perform and document investigations into both new and existing processes to ensure that best practice is achieved. Co-ordinate all test and calibration activities including the supervision of test engineers and technicians and ensure that all test equipment issued to the Manufacturing areas complies with any relevant safety issues.
