An innovative, award winning leader in industrial instrumentation and process control involved in the water, oil & gas, chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries. Due to continuous growth, they are looking to employ a Production Engineer to join their manufacturing/design team based in Berkshire.
My client is always looking at ways to improve their business in the design and manufacture of products with consideration to cost, safety, quality and asset optimisation ensuring that productivity is improved and down-time minimised. At the heart of new technologies, this person will make decisions about new products to introduce, supporting fellow team members to implement change and continuous improvement.
This role will incorporate training and assisting staff to ensure targets are achieved, coordinating customer inspections and running factory acceptance tests/audits as required. At review meetings, this position represents the manufacturing and design team and holds the responsibility of alterations for materials supply, manufacturability of products and design.
It is essential that you hold an engineering qualification and ideally have an electro-mech background. Experience of Visual Basic, LabView and desktop CAD packages is a distinct advantage to your application. An understanding of transistor circuitry and discrete logic as well as the current generation of microprocessor based circuits, peripheral devices and digital communications will be beneficial.
