A leading chilled food manufacturer is currently seeking a Quality manager to join their team ensuring that all areas of the quality system are adhered to throughout the business, assuring high product quality and safety standards in line with legislation and food safety regulations. They are an established and growing chilled food manufacturer considered to be one of the leading suppliers to major retailers within the UK.
Responsibilities include:
Effective management of quality assurance staff, within set operating budgets.
Adequate site wide control of all quality system paperwork.
Achievement of specified KPI targets including complaints, micro, swabbing, taste panel and GMP audits.
Ensure site compliance with the requirements specified in the quality system.
Ensuring maintenance of EFSIS Higher level accreditation in relation to food safety and quality.
Ensuring compliance with Investors in People standard in relation to training and development.
To promote high standards of food quality and safety throughout the site and to encourage a company culture which supports this.
Ensure adequate employee awareness of and adherence to company food safety and quality procedures.
Ensure site compliance with the quality system, via daily monitoring, weekly auditing and internal auditing schedule.
Training of staff to an appropriate level in company food safety and quality standards.
To ensure the duties of the Hygiene Supervisor and the QA Staff are effectively covered in their absence.
To perform any other duties as requested that may be necessary to ensure that hygiene levels are maintained.
To ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as Health & Safety regulations.
Ideally possessing a background in the chilled food sector, you will be skilled in all aspects of Quality Assurance management within a high risk environment. Self-motivated, enthusiastic and an excellent communicator and coach, you will now be looking to further your career, seeking a fresh challenge, with a successful food manufacturer.
