Our client, a major FMCG chilled food manufacturer, is currently seeking a FMCG food experienced Graduate Engineer as part of their expansion plans in this new division of a large and highly successful food producer. This FMCG food group has been established for 20 years with over 1000 staff and in a recent cultural survey, were rated in the top 10 food manufacturers in the UK for it's investment in staff.
The role will involve coordinating and eventually managing a team of up to 6 engineers, responsible for health & safety of the team, quality, efficiency and standards of engineering maintenance in the area by maximising the potential of people and resources.
You will be required to:
- coordinate all daily maintenance and PPM to ensure that it is delivered
- participate in daily Operational meetings to ensure all issues are communicated and shift changeovers are efficient
- develop a parts, stock and stores system
- coordinate projects
- liaise with engineering suppliers
- communicate and liaise with other departments regarding relevant maintenance and engineering/manufacturing issues
- ensure skill levels are maintained and carry out training, coaching and development or arrange specialist training where appropriate
- manage a team of up to 6 engineers
- maintain KPIs
You will be of graduate calibre with some experience within an FMCG food environment - preferably chilled. In return, due to company expansion plans, there will be lots of opportunity for future career development for the right candidates.
