European Operations Manager
Our client, a leading supplier to the world's most advanced manufacturing industries requires an Operations Manager to lead the European Operation with responsibilities including supply chain safety, product quality, customer satisfaction and operational costs. To represent the EM European Operation within the Group.
Duties
? Management of all operational activities from order placement to delivery inc. Stock locations
Development and management of SHEQ systems
Assess, design and restructure European Logistics
Continually improve customer satisfaction (K.P.I.'s: on-time delivery, target stock levels, customer complaints)
Agreement of, and adherence to operational budget
Development and management of relationships with key internal suppliers and stocking sites
Primary contact for Key Account Managers and selected customers for day to day quality and supply issues
Technical and operational representative for customer enquiries
Host customer audits of, and visits to the Hub (incl. Immingham I&SP site)
Crisis management of stock shortages, customer run-outs and complaints
Monthly analysis of sales figures and the development of forecasts which drive the business.
Accountability/Responsibility
Budget/Revenue:
EM revenue in Europe - £6.5M (FY05)
EM Operations Budget FY05 £1.9M
16 global product suppliers, 4 global logistics suppliers
Stocking sites in the UK, Ireland, Germany and Italy
Experience:
? Knowledge of Semiconductor gases and supply chains - gained through at least 5 years exposure to the semiconductor industry
? Experience of customers in the semiconductor industry.
? Strong results orientation, ability to lead and develop effective teams
? Direct line management experience
? Highly analytical with attention to detail
