Fantastic short term Global Opportunity for an motivated PCB Manufacturing consultant, with European market leader.
A PCB Manufacturing Consultant is required on a short term contract basis, for a role based mainly in China/Asia, to assist in the selction of PCB manufacturers for supply to the UK. The role requires auditing of potential suppliers, specifying the standards for manufacture and working to ensure that exisiting designs are suitable for volume production.
This role offers the opportunity to travel, as trips between the UK and China will be frequent and there will also be a need to visit global manufacturing sites. While the role predominantly requires technical competency, an awareness of handling commercial relationships is also important.
For this role you will need experience in the PCB industry, including a senior process or quality control position, as well as knowledge of manufacturing processes for single sided, multilayer and through hole PCBs. Knowledge of IPC standards and an understanding of lead-free soldering processes are important for this role also.
Good communication skills are necessary in order to supervise and coach personnel and the ability to solve problems and issues is also required. The ability to speak Mandarin Chinese would be advantageous but is not essential.
