Summary: LCD technology
My client is a company with a unique optical technology. They hold primary patents and have spent five years in development, proving initial stage manufacturability and developing relationships with customers eager to pursue applications enabled and enhanced by this exciting new technology.
The technology retrofits into existing manufacturing processes but uniquely uses sub-micron diffractive elements & replication techniques akin to optical disc mastering. The company has a partner in the far east and is in the process of ramping to volume manufacture. This has created an opportunity for an experienced individual to Manage a small Purchasing team.
The successful candidate will have experience of a high growth environment. You will identify & engage with potential 2nd source suppliers for each process step and manage logistics between supply partners to minimise ?inventory cash flow. You will explore engagement of volume contract electronics manufacture in China and explore option for LCD supplier to use their local supply network to offer a one stop product build in China.
