Summary: Space Batteries
Our clients are experts in designing and producing the most powerful, intelligent and reliable portable power solutions for users who demand high performance and reliability. The company researches, designs, develops and manufactures advanced cells, battery packs and chargers for highly demanding markets including defence, aerospace, marine and medical.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the quality systems, throughout the Space Products business, to ensure that the products meet the required specifications and customer requirements. You will provide a key interface between customers, suppliers and registration bodies.
You must have a strong technical and quality background with a technical and / or science degree preferred. You must have 10 years experience in aerospace engineering (manufacturing and / or management), of which at least 5 years should be hands-on QA experience. An HNC or higher in a relevant science or engineering subject is required. It is also necessary to have experience of hosting and performing audits in an ISO9001:2000 environment.
Familiarity with detailed specifications including European Space Agency and MIL/NASA standard specifications is essential.
The role also requires a common sense approach, attention to detail and the ability to follow issues though to conclusion in a fast moving multitasking environment.
