PURCHASING MANAGER
Dynamic, young procurement professional for rapidly expanding IT & AV distributor – international product sourcing
South West up to £40k, car, benefits & substantial bonus
This is a truly exceptional opportunity for an entrepreneurial procurement professional to join a dynamic computer and AV distributor that is rapidly carving a niche for itself with major trade clients in key UK markets. Since its launch in 2000, the business has quickly established a strong supply and dealer network that will produce c£10m of sales this financial year and is now looking to accelerate growth through the sourcing of additional new products - primarily from the Far East.
Currently working in the technology arena – IT, AV, consumer electronics or a similarly competitive sector, you will be no stranger to the research, specification and identification of new products as well as the negotiation of supply solutions to meet UK market needs. Highly commercial, you will be attracted to the opportunity of working with a fresh and ambitious business that punches way above its weight with leading-edge products, good after-sales support and strong commercial propositions.
A key member of a very young management team, you will have a lot of scope and freedom to shape future product portfolios as well as margin responsibility and the opportunity to share in the commercial successes of the business. This is not a role for a corporate animal – this calls for a self-motivated dealmaker who thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving arena where results are highly visible and appropriately rewarded.
