GENERAL MANAGER
A Commercial Leadership Role For this Foremost Distributor
of Industrial Products
East Anglia c £45,000, Bonus, Car, Benefits
This is a superb opportunity to take full P&L responsibility for a regional operation within a leading UK distributor of chemical products. Highly successful, the company has gained an impressive reputation by delivering innovative customer solutions and industry – leading levels of service. It works with some of the world’s largest manufacturers, with the quality of its supplier relationships placing it at the forefront of product development and range expansion. The role of General Manager is crucial to its continuing success. You will have full site and management team responsibility for a turnover of c£10 million, covering sales, operations, logistics and service delivery for an extensive product mix to a diverse customer base. The key challenge will be to take the business forward in terms of sales growth and team development. Educated to degree level, you will have progressed your general management career in a highly regarded distribution – led business, ideally in an industrial environment. You will have been well trained and, whilst you will be a good all rounder, you will be particularly strong commercially. An energetic approach, keen service orientation and a strong, motivational leadership style will be complemented by a high level of customer focus. In essence, the client is looking for a charismatic achiever who is accustomed to leading from the front. The role offers real scope to make an impact within this great company and will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package, which will include an uncapped bonus scheme.
