OPERATIONS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER c£45,000 + Car + Benefits NORTH WEST
Our client, part of a $multi-billion international group, is the world’s largest producer in its field, boasting an extensive portfolio of well-recognised fmcg brands. In an increasingly competitive market their continued success is dependent on their ability to develop and implement world class manufacturing practices, ensuring absolute commitment at all levels.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, this role will have responsibility for co-ordinating the delivery of asset enhancement, cost reduction and productivity improvements across several manufacturing operations within the UK and in Europe. The position will involve guiding site-based teams through the continuous improvement cycle from the diagnostic phase through to the implementation stage and beyond. Candidates, ideally degree qualified in an engineering or manufacturing related discipline, will either have experience gained in a similar role in a high volume manufacturing business or will be in a broad manufacturing role with a particular focus on continuous improvement. Specific knowledge of leading edge manufacturing tools such as Lean, 5S, Gap Analysis and Kaizen is highly desirable, and candidates must have proven coaching, development and facilitation skills.
