Our client has become a leading global provider of technical computing and model-based design software. Employing more than 1,000 people worldwide. As a Major Account Manger you will maximise sales of our client's products and services to all potential customers within a defined vertical sales territory.

Responsibilities
Achievement of revenue targets; New Product Sales (NPS), Software Maintenance and Services (Training and Consulting).
Exploit existing market presence and reputation; local and global within the territory and make use of all relevant information sources and personal networks within the aerospace and defence sectors to proactively develop opportunities. Rigorously follow up and prioritise all qualified leads provided by marketing or sales support; energetically prospect for new business opportunities within the sector.

Work closely with potential customers to understand and leverage user's requirements. Work closely with Engineering and Marketing resources to develop and communicate the technical vision of the capabilities required.
Gain access to and influence the appropriate decision makers to manage any evaluation processes necessary to prove capabilities, capture successes and case studies. Take ownership for the relationship between customers and all internal departments. Gain in depth understanding of the current and future needs of target accounts and develop and implement medium and long-term account plans to realise the potential.
Maintain comprehensive contact, lead and opportunity details on CRM database.
Provide assistance, guidance and information to support other members of the team to achieve the company's objectives.
Make the best use of all available resources and expertise in the achievement of the company's objectives. Lead a multi-disciplined team in the execution of sales opportunity solutions which encompass software, training and consultancy services.


Requirements:
Software sales background, ideally 3 years +
Track record in New Business Development
Science preferred or engineering Degree
