Our client is the largest independent supplier of car parts to the UK aftermarket and they pride themselves on being number 1 in their industry.
With a branch network of 40 locations and operating with an annual turnover of approx. £90 million, the company employs close to 1,000 people across the UK.
The company's exceptional growth is due to continue with further UK locations planned for 2006 along with a massive expansion of their product range. Historically specialising in German, French and Scandinavian marques, they launched on the 1st February their ‘All Makes' product range which sees the company's specialist reputation growing within the market.
An entrepreneurial senior management team ensures that the company is always at the forefront of the industry. They see technology as key and have invested heavily in IT; they make sure they give staff every tool available to ensure success.
The company has recently invested in a new 40,000 square foot warehouse in Edmonton, North London to accommodate the businesses bulk storage feeding the main distribution centre in Wembley. This in effect has doubled their historical £12m stock holding.
The company's warehouse operation is first class, employing hundreds of staff and they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Manager to be responsible for the new site.
You will be responsible for every aspect of the warehouse, from receipt of deliveries to appropriate logistics and storage. You will ensure the smooth flow of stock and provide a first rate, high availability service to Wembley. It is imperative that you have a successful background in warehouse management and must have managed a similar size operation. Experience of the industry is preferred but by no means essential. Your experience will be required in logistics and supply chain, as well as day-to-day management.
