Our client is the leading supplier of garment rental and aftercare solutions to a range of commercial and industrial organisations across the UK. Due to continued growth, the company currently seek a Service Manager to work from our client's Lancashire base.
The role of a Service Manager is a senior management position and is often a back up to the General Manager. The main task of the SM is to ensure that a high, but cost effective, standard of service is provided and maintained from the plant to the customers. Furthermore the SM must manage the service team to improve the profitability of existing accounts and to improve measurable levels of service to all customer accounts.
Key short term objectives include managing the current growth in the customer base, targeting key customer issues, underlining the company procedures, and improving communications with our customers. The successful applicant's key result areas will be profit, Key Performance Indicators, credit control and stock/customer losses.
Our client requests applications from candidates with the following skills:
* Experience in a service environment, with a customer focused background
* Applicants should be disciplined, motivated and personable with good communication and problem solving skills.
* You should have the ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating significant sales ability
In addition, Higher Education qualifications, customer service related qualifications and/or evidence of training in customer service would be beneficial to your application. Experience of Management and/or Laundry/Textile Rental Experience would also prove advantageous.
