Our client specialises in the design and manufacture of a wide range of mechanical and electro-mechanical products for the International Aerospace industry. They currently seek a Logistics Administrator to join their team.
The successful candidate will provide and document parts flow and movement in the production areas by use of Kan-Ban, DLF and conventional kiting methods. Your main tasks and responsibilities will be to:
* Be responsible for supply, from both external and internal sources to all feeder areas through to main assembly/test, finish goods/customer support.
* Action Avante Workbench
* Regularly visit ‘Post Boxes' and action triggered Kanban cards.
* Action adjustment to WIP/DLF and Kan-ban sizes to suit production line balance situations.
* Monitor materials handling and action packaging standards/requirements for protection of parts on the production lines.
* Operate materials and production control activities within the Cell.
* Respond on revisions to delivery plans across the Cell manufacturing areas.
* Work with despatch on production status and finished goods.
* Ensure Shipping documents are prepared and activation daily.
* Attend production meetings.
* Work on ‘Lean' manufacturing principles.
* Prepare and issue manufacturing documentation (Traveller Pack).
* Maintain and control Cell drawing library.
* Communicate and liaise with lean suppliers ensuring delivery to build line.
* Control and administration of the supplier gateways.
* Work in other areas such as stores as required.
* Produce recovery plans.
* To work within the H&S requirements of the business.
