Temporary Estate Services Manager (6 months)
£15.00 per hour
City
You will be required to manage and direct the performance of the estate management team. This includes overseeing the delivery of services for estate management, caretaking and cleaning, contracted services, and the development (with residents) in establishing service level agreements and performance standards for estates in the Area. This includes the day to day supervision of Estate Managers, Support Manager and Support Assistants.
1. Managing Services
To deputise for the Area Housing Manager, within the service-specific area, in the provision of services at the Area Housing Office, where appropriate.
To assist the Housing Services Manager or the Area Housing Manager in setting the annual service plan and key objectives for the team, and to ensure that they are achieved, including the monitoring of performance so that standards are attained.
2. Managing Finances
To ensure that the services provided within the estate services team are provided in a cost effective and competitive manner, which is responsive to and driven by the Core Principles and Key Objectives' of Homes for Islington (HFI) and in accordance with the Annual Service Delivery and Business Plan.
3. Managing Communications and Information
To lead the tenancy management team in such a manner as to ensure that good public relations are maintained at all times.
To ensure that the services provided are clear, accountable and responsive to the needs of the customer.
4. General
To recruit suitable staff and develop staff within the team and ensure that conditions exist for the HFI' s employees to grow and learn in a confidant, learning environment.
To ensure that the requirements of all relevant Health and Safety legislation, including risk assessments, and the HFI' s relevant policies are fully observed by staff within the team.
