Temporary – Rent Arrears Officer
£13 per hour

The Company
This is a local government office based in the city.
The Job
you will be required to assist the Team Leader and Housing Services Manager in providing an effective Rent Arrears services in the area. Your responsibility will be to collect all income due in line with targets, providing benefits advice, agreeing repayment plans and undertaking legal action relating to Rent Arrears as necessary, including issue of NOSPS, preparation of Court papers, variation orders, eviction reports, execution of warrants and attending evictions.
The Person
You will have a minimum of 2 years experience of providing advice and practical assistance to the public in the social housing field with a minimum of 1 year experience in Rent Arrears OR have a Housing qualification. You will have experience of working in, and delivering services to, a multi-cultural community. You will have the ability to conduct effective interviews with service users and have an understanding of housing benefits sufficient to provide general advice to service users.
**Experience of IWORLD advantageous**
