Short Term Contract 6-12 months Our client are in the process of implementing a new General Insurance Administration System and they are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join their successful IS Team on a short-term contract. The role reports to the IS Business Analyst Team Leader and will work closely with the IS Operations Team and Business users throughout the final phases of the implementation. Ideally you will have experience in all aspects of Business Analysis requirements gathering, managing development and user acceptance testing, and implementation, post-implementation reviews. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to interact effectively with the various project teams, and the company’s users and managers. Key Skills · A minimum of 3 years experience of business analysis and requirements specification, preferably in a General Insurance environment with knowledge of both GI business processes and systems support · Familiarity with structured project management methods including Project Definition Reports (PDRs), Business Systems Design Documents (BSDs), Feasibility studies, Project phases, Release Management and Change control. · Experience of project plans and the use of tools such as MS Project · Flexibility, well organised and able to manage multiple tasks · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Ability to relate and communicate effectively, assertively and comfortably with all levels of management and staff and external organisations · Ability to work under pressure, set priorities and meet deadlines · An understanding of testing and production environment requirements and have the ability to produce test plans and test scripts Key Responsibilities and Tasks · Assist in the planning and project management of various phases of the development of the General Insurance Administration System · Assist in the production of PDRs, BSDs and other related project documentation · Document and develop user and system technical requirements · Process mapping and the production of process flow diagrams · Specification of requirements for other supporting applications and interfaces that will need to be integrated with the new General Insurance System · Regular liaison with Project Teams, Business Managers and external suppliers · Performing structured testing within a managed defect and change logging process
