Development Underwriter - Insurance
M4 Corridor
£25,000 - £41,000
As a world leading Financial Services Company, our client knows that achieving success is built on some very simple foundations. Listen to your customers, communicate the benefits of your products and be efficient in the way you deliver your service. They are looking to recruit a Development Underwriter.
This role will cover a panel of brokers based in the South Midlands and South West of England. Ideally the candidate will be based in the M4 Corridor between Berkshire and Bristol.
The main purpose of the role is to:
- Underwrite commercial risks from a designated panel of intermediaries within agreed authority levels, to achieve profitable growth in line with Company and branch objectives.
- Look for opportunities to develop account and profitability with key brokers
Within this remit, your key accountabilities will be to:
- Underwrite new and existing business profitability, accurately and in line with established Underwriting practice
- Maintain and develop business relationships with nominated intermediaries
- Actively encourage generation of profitable new business
- Respond to customers requests for information
- Responsible for develpment of nominated accounts

Qualifications
- Progress towards ACII/Qualified ACII
- 'A' Level or equivalent education
