Desktop Support Technician, To 15,000 + Bens, Birmingham.
To £15000 + Bens
West Midlands, Warwickshire,Birmingham
Midlands software house, part of a large International Group, is looking for a Desktop Support Technician to work within the I.T. Operations Department, providing hardware and software support for internal users.
You will take care of upgrades, repairs or prepping, installing software, monitor backups and make sure company policies are being followed. You will provide and administer e-mail, voicemail and Internet services to users, take care of domain administration and carry out audits on hardware and software.
You must be knowledge of PC hardware componentry with an understanding of PC set-ups. You should have familiarity with Microsoft operating systems such as Windows 98, Windows 2000 and Windows NT, an understanding of LANs and be capable of working with minimum supervision and prioritising and planning your work to maximise efficiency. You must be enthusiastic, with a positive attitude, highly motivated, with the ability to work in a team environment.
