Junior Programmer, Financial Systems, Informix / Visual Basic or Java, Midlands, To £17K + 5% Bonus + Bens.
Programmer, Financial, Informix / Visual Basic ( VB) or Java- I year minimum, preferably in a software house environment, with some knowledge of Unix scripting, HTML, C & Perl.
Successful financial software house is seeking a Programmer to develop, analyse and document software solutions. You should have a minimum 12 months experience in a similar development role, be educated to HND level, in a suitable subject and possess sound and effective knowledge of base software development practices.
You must be methodical and disciplined in approach to development tasks, able to produce robust and effective code and demonstrate an enthusiasm and willingness to learn and develop skills, plus demonstrate an ability to plan and manage tasks to achieve deadlines. You should be able to raise, monitor and where possible resolve project or development issues and demonstrate a good understanding of relational database principles
