Redline are currently recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer to be based in Inverness. Our client is a leader in the design, manufacture and production of completion products for the Oil and Gas Industry.
The Senior Software Engineer will join a small in-house team working on commercial applications for the oil and gas industries. These include 5D, our client's new flagship product which represents a quantum leap forward from today's leading directional drilling software packages (www.tech21.Co.Uk/5d.Html). The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining 5D architecture; making sure that the different pieces of 5D communicate effectively with each other and that the database is well designed and flexible.
The position, whilst being based in Inverness may require occasional foreign travel. Inverness is a rapidly expanding city in the highlands of Scotland and ideally suited to people keen on outdoor recreational activities such as hill walking, climbing and skiing.
For this role you are required to have a relevant Degree, experience in commercial software development and database design and development. Technical skills including C++, Object Oriented Design, Database (SQL, XML) and Microsoft Visual Studio.NET (Managed/Unmanaged) are an advantage.
