Based in Manchester, our client, a dynamic IT company, is currently looking to recruit a FIRST LINE SUPPORT ENGINEER to join their thriving team. Your role will be to provide first line support to clients and users either face to face or over the phone. The client is looking for someone with an excellent level of troubleshooting and administration skills in the following areas: Windows 98/ME/NT4/2000 (server and workstation), Windows applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access), Internet browsers (Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla etc), PC and Server replacement, good understanding of TCP/IP and its configuration, knowledge of routers and switches, understand structured cabling along with providing network support. The soft skills they are looking for include: excellent customer service and customer facing skills (element of providing telephone support) and also a full UK driving license and own vehicle. This role is a real chance to gain experience within a rapidly expanding company.
