Major Independent UK Studio requires an experienced Tools Programmer to work in their high profile Core Technology Team. This well organised group is developing the studios innovative in-house tools to aid their 6+ game teams. You will need strong (2yrs+) C/C++ experience with solid skills in OOD and structured development methodologies. Previous exposure to game tool development is vital and specific tool experience with 3D Studio Max or Maya (APIs and Max Script/MEL) is important, as is a solid grounding in 2D/3D computer graphics, OpenGL or DirectX, art/animation tools, editors and plug-ins etc. Exposure to the current game platforms will also help (PS2, XBox, Cube). This is a good time to be joining the company as it expands solidly and you will be well rewarded for your abilities - especially your skills with coaching and mentoring other more junior team members, being a good problem solver and having a sociable, client facing approach.
