Major independent games studio based in the South East requires an experienced PS2 Technologist to work on key technical elements of their structured graphics engine technology used by over 10 UK game teams. Organised into a core technology team to develop 3D engine solutions for the PS2 platform, this studio requires you to have had previous experience with C/C++ and all the relevant APIs - but most crucially you will have a strong understanding of in the PS2 architecture including DMA, vector units (VU) and other key low-level elements of the PS2. This is a fresh group whose aim is to squeeze the most out of the PS2 and build a structured approach to developing game engine technology that is used by multiple teams. You will also need to have a good customer facing manner and strong communication skills since you will be working with a number of teams across the country. This is a real challenge for a talented technology driven individual with PS2 experience and you will be very well rewarded.
