We are the European leaders in the design and delivery of secure Microsoft and Sun infrastructure management services and our client portfolio is a testament to our ability to deliver operational excellence. We are currently looking to recruit an additional person to join our Network Support Team. Person: • Sound knowledge of Network Infrastructure, Networking principles and ideally qualified to CCNA & CCDA standards. • At least a years experience of working with Cisco products such as Routers, Switches and Firewalls. • 1-2 years experience in a support role or similar involving troubleshooting and problem solving. • Sound experience of Cisco hardware, Operating systems and Software. Packeteer centric hardware experience would be a bonus but is not a necessity. • Sound knowledge of Network Management Stations, preferably previous experience of HP Openview and Cisco Works 2000. • Preferably a working knowledge of Reseaux IP Europeens (RIPE) practices and procedures. • Ability to plan and manage own time to successfully deliver projects to deadlines. • Effective communications. • Documentation skills – able to write documents appropriate to technical and non-technical audiences • Good knowledge of technologies such as VPNs and VLANS. • Excellent problem solving skills who works well across multi-functional teams. Role: • Maintain Network Availability, capacity and quality of service to meet SLA targets through actively monitoring and evaluating network performance • Provide initial 1st line network diagnosis before escalating to a senior member of the team. • Deliver technology solutions needed to deliver new or updated Attenda products and services as specified by Product Management. • Day to day network administration (Syslog, SNMP Traps, Interface status, password checks, etc.) • Define and maintain networking related technology standards and associated processes and procedures. Enable and enforce their use through training, documentation, audits etc. • Provide monthly Capacity Management reports to management on the first day of every month. Provide network related information to the Availability manager as and when requested to assist with the presentation of the availability report. • Administration of the Attenda RIPE database to include address space application, assignment of IP address space and ensuring the Attenda RIPE database is kept updated at all times.
