City based Hedge Fund is seeking an experienced Windows Infrastructure Engineer to join the Systems group. The group is responsible for all company technical infrastructure. The role will mainly centre on project work covering all aspects of the company’s Microsoft server infrastructure. The role requires an experienced Windows engineer with experience of automation, the core set of Microsoft Server products including Active Directory, Exchange and SQL2000. Experience of domain migration and Windows Server 2003 products in a production environment will also be an important part of the role. This role requires a skilled engineer with a strong delivery track record. The candidate should have a technical background, preferably at degree level and experience of working in a high-pressure environment. Financial institution experience in a trading environment is essential. It is expected that the successful applicant will have at least 3 years experience of working in a systems role. The successful applicant will be the company’s expert on Windows related technologies and will have to demonstrate strong problem solving skills along with the technical experience needed to build high-performance, resilient solutions. Strong networking and SQL 2000 DBA skills will also be a plus.
