Technical Author, Middleware / Games, East Midlands

Our client is looking for a Technical Author to develop user documentation for games middleware and 3D visualisation software.
You should have:
• Minimum of five years technical authoring experience
• Knowledge and experience of working within a leading edge (preferably Windows-based) software development environment
• Previous graphics and/or audio documentation (desirable, not essential)
Software Packages Required :
• HTML Help compiler (including an understanding of related file formats such as .hhc, .hpp and .chm)
• Microsoft Office (in particular, Word)
• CorelDRAW or similar vector-based illustration packages
• Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro or similar bitmap editors
• Detailed, source-level knowledge of HTML and related standards (including cascading style sheets and DHTML; knowledge of XML desirable)
