Job Summary:
This is a new opportunity for a software engineer to join an established company who is acknowledged as a leader in its field. The company is represented across 30 countries world-wide.
The role is to design and implement computer programs, as well as modify existing programmes, to the identified requirements of a busy engineering department who develop test and measurement instruments.
Main Tasks & Duties
- To analyse user requirements and identify possible solutions.
- To develop detailed specifications for program requirements.
- Design and implement and modify programs to improve the efficiency and the effectiveness of working processes.
- To test programs and modify programs to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- To draw up all required support documentation for use program users.
- Provide technical advice and guidance on program matters.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in technological advancements.
- Critical Background Experience (essential)
- Must have a computer related degree technical qualification.
- Must have a technical understanding.
- Must have 2-3 years experience using C in a real time embedded environment.
- Must have pronounced analytical skills.
- Must have proven communications skills.
