These are highly technical single contributor roles, where the successful candidates will possess broad experience in leading edge data and voice technologies that form current and future IT Garland's technology infrastructure.
The role holders will be accountable for effectively and efficiently supporting all aspects of Garlands Call Centres, management and support offices to provide accurate and timely installations, upgrades, maintenance, support and advice to the user communities ensuring high availability of the system.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BS degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years directly relevant experience in a Computer / Telecommunication environment, along experience with diverse networking technologies, Microsoft applications, and integration skills.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience gained in technically supporting IT infrastructure under service level agreements where responsiveness and focus on system availability are of key importance. Experience would ideally have been gained in Contact Centre environments. Additional experience:
Network based Contact Centre/Apps platforms products including deployment of Primary Business focused solutions.
Microsoft Windows 2000/ 2003 Server/ XP,
Microsoft BackOffice family of products
Deployment of Resilient Server based Systems (Clustered / Load Balanced)
Network appliances / apps - Proxy Servers, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Hubs.
Converged IP base Networks (LAN / WAN, TCP/IP and data communications)
Telephony and voice communications
DBA (MS SQL Server / Oracle)
DB Programming - MS SQL Query / TransactSQL / Report Generation Software (Business Objects etc)
Internet and web technologies including HTML, VB, VBScript, JavaScript, XML, Active Server Pages, .Net.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Strong customer oriented, oral and written communication skills along with the ability to perform effectively as an individual contributor and also as a team player. Excellent problem solving and organisational skills are essential.
