Our client is the global industry leader in state-of-the art microsimulation & Intelligent Transportation software. As a result of unprecedented growth & to compliment the release of the next generation of its award winning software, our client is seeking a talented IT/Software Support Professional to enhance the existing skills within the team. In this role you will:
· Provide 1st line software support for clients throughout the world
· Develop / maintain web based customer support system
· Develop / maintain internal administration procedures
· Work with state-of-the-art traffic simulation software
· Influence the future development & deployment of the software at a global level
· Provide development support for new versions of the software
· Use your experience to take your career in a different direction, building on existing skills & developing unique skills in the global microsimulation sector.
You should therefore have a degree in Computer Science (or similar) & at least 3 years commercial experience in a similar Helpdesk or First Line Technical Support role.
You should have experience of developing and maintaining My SQL based databases & have used Dreamweaver for web design/development also.
You must be an energetic, enthusiastic & goal-orientated individual with the ability to communicate effectively, especially with customers overseas by telephone & email. You should also have the ability to work in a small team with first class problem solving & organisational skills, be self motivated & have the ability to manage your own workload/deadlines.
You should be able to "hit the ground running" with the general aspects of technical support in this role, although you will be given full training on the bespoke software.
