Systems Validation Engineer (C, Test, VoIP), Cambridgeshire, up to £40K, ASAP
Working closely with product management, customers, and other cross-organizational teams, the Systems Validation Engineer is responsible for system-level validation of leading edge VoIP software.
Essential experience and skills required:
Appreciation of telecommunications (packet telephony, switching, etc.).
Basic understanding of computer networks (Ethernet, switches, hubs, IP).
Knowledge of programming (preferably C, C++, Java, scripts, etc.).
Adept in the use of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, etc.).
Attention to detail with the ability to accurately record results and maintain log files.
Able to carry out minor hardware modifications, wiring, soldering, etc.
Keen, fast learner, and able to work for periods unsupervised.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
