Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. The Power Products group specialises in design / development of products for high volume manufacture, primarily in consumer product and automotive industries. You will take lead mechanical design role to include hands-on product development, design of mechanical systems and components, project management and liaison with clients. You will have a first degree covering dual disciplines of product design and mechanical engineering or an engineering degree plus postgraduate design qualification. You must have 3 years exp. in product development, have a highly creative approach to problem solving and concept generation, hands-on experience of 3D CAD, preferably Pro/Engineer Wildfire or Unigraphics, exp. of detail design of components, rapid prototyping methods and have an in depth knowledge of high volume manufacturing methods. Direct experience in product development ideally in consumer product or automotive industries. Salary GBP40k - GBP50.
