Our Client is a leading supplier of mains and service fittings and valves into the international water and gas industries with an annual turnover of £30 million. They have a number of manufacturing sites in the UK and are now seeking to fill the above position at their site in Kings Heath, Birmingham which employs around 70 people.
Your role will be to work with the site team to develop and maintain safe working procedures that ensure both legislative compliance and the promotion of best practise. You will be responsible for producing risk assessments, implementing the results and also leading initiatives to apply Tyco corporate directives.
You will have previous health and safety experience in a manufacturing environment and a good knowledge of current legislation. Preferably with a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent, you will have good influencing and communication skills and a practical, ‘hands on' approach.
This is initially a temporary appointment for 6 months after which the position will be reviewed.
