Helpdesk / 1st line Support/administrator required by our London based client, a leading provider of hardware and software solutions. Working as the primary support professional working within a team of IT support and project engineers this role will see you handling support requests from customers from many different business sectors, in, around and outside of London. This role will include the handling of telephone support requests, resolution of issues by phone or remote control/access where possible (eg password changes, adding users, etc) and the handling of support requests through to a successful conclusion, whether handled personally or escalated to a field engineer. To be considered you must have an outstanding telephone manner, be a good communicator with the ability in inspire confidence in clients. Technically, you must have a thorough knowledge of Windows desktop/server operating systems and Microsoft Office applications (configuring Outlook etc) with a strong focus on customer service and previous experience of providing 1st line support. An MCP in a Windows 2000 or 2003 would be a bonus but is not essential.
