Position of Account Assistant
Hours of work: 38 hours per week
Experience: Must be conversant with Sage Line 50 Accounts, but no formal qualifications required.
At least 2 years experience of working within an account department
Will be working alongside Accounts Manager carrying out the following duties
Enter purchase invoices on a daily basis.
Enter sales invoices on a daily basis.
Enter cheques received onto customer accounts
Bank cheques received.
Take incoming phone calls from suppliers requesting payment.
Check statements against aged balance and reconcile
Run Payline 'incentive' payments
Run weekly payroll using Sage
Prepare supplier BACS run (Friday)
Bank reconciliation
Credit control
Dealing with customer queries relating to invoices
Monthly nominal reconciliation
The candidate must be able to work as part of a small team and on own initiative. Also be reliable, honest and flexible
