Required experience: applicants must have several years development experience and a recognised DBA qualification preferably in Oracle. A good working knowledge of MS SQL, DB2, MS Access and Sybase in a Win2000 environment together with development experience using, VB and C would be extremely beneficial.Role responsibilities: provide technical leadership to staff, including technical review and direction. Meet regularly and work closely with DBA team to plan coverage, define and implement standards and best practices, share knowledge and cross-train. Represent technical issues and accomplishments to management. Represent the DBA support team interaction with other IT functions and vendors with regard to Oracle, DB2 and SQL Server issues.
The position is based in Northampton but will include travel to other sites. Applicants must have a valid UK driving licence.
