ROLE DESCRIPTION: The technology covered in the role is currently organized as two separate functions · Microsoft Windows and Enterprise Systems Management · Storage, Tape/Backup, Print The specific role covers; · Manage technical specialist teams to deliver world class service in the respective technology areas. · Manage plans and planned work for the above technologies · Own the technology and strategy in technology areas described. · Management of Disk Storage, Tape Storage and Library, Print, Backup, Archive and Retrieval. · Server Hardware Management, ensuring firmware up to date, BIOS levels correct, all components qualified in config, policing builds/changes. · Workstation image and build Management · IBDE Management (including technical representation and TIC if necessary). · Build process – to include Server build process, Sorter build process · Keep pace with change – migration of remaining systems on Windows NT, and keep pace with service packs. · Develop the scope and ownership
