Based in Milton Keynes, the role will support the set up and on-going operations of sorter machinery, desktop support for Dell Desktops and Servers as well as network printers.
There will be a requirement to support the Northampton site.
Purpose of the role:
Responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing company and multi-vendor systems which include hardware, software and networking products as well as operating systems. These will include NDP 1825 and DP 500 document processors, Dell Desktops and Servers and network printers.
Key Responsibilities include:-
· Installs and optimises HW/SW/Networking product and configurations at customer sites
· Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
· Takes responsibility for potential or desired follow-up services (Sales/Systems Engineering) or problem escalation.
· Maintains a thorough understanding of company service solutions.
· Functions as integration project leader when assigned.
· Verifies that proposed as well as existing client hardware/software configurations can function per requirements.
· Viewed as specialist in given field by the company.
Knowledge Skills and Experiences
§ Experience on NDP1825 and DP500 Document Processors.
§ A series, V series and NX5800
§ Microsoft Office
§ Good Electro-mechanical skills
§ Good working knowledge of the repair of computers, servers and printers
§ Previous experience in a desktop support role
