Our client is a leading specialist provider of e-learning development tools, helping organisations to modernise their training processes. Acquisition and successful expansion means that they are looking for an experienced sales professional to work at a strategic level to identify new business opportunities and build revenues.
In depth knowledge of a particular vertical (e.g. Finance, Public Sector) is preferred but not essential. The role will primarily involve new business development with some account management required.
The successful candidate will possess a third level qualification (i.e. degree or equivalent) along with a minimum of 5 years sales experience, of which at least 2 years will have been spent selling training, software or e-learning solutions.
Comfortable working both alone and within a team, you will have strong conceptual selling skills and the ability to articulate and communicate persuasively. Experience dealing at board level is essential.
Progression into a Sales Director position within 1-2 years is realistic for the successful candidate, therefore ambition and desire for career progression is essential.
Principal Duties
• Identify sales opportunities and develop new business
• Attend client meetings to consult and close business
• Cold calling by telephone for lead generation.
• Strategic development of new business accounts
• Nurture and grow the business generated with each account in line with targets and strategy
• Ensure that all customer requests are dealt with in an accurate and timely manner.
